Employees can work from anywhere with improved hybrid collaboration and consistent meeting room experiences
SW Accountants & Advisors, an independent, national accounting firm with a strong presence in major cities across Australia, was already exploring how it could improve its office experience for staff and clients when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. While the organization already had Microsoft Teams in place on workers’ devices, the legacy PBX phone system did not allow employees to use their work phone from home.
Melbourne in particular was one of the most locked-down cities at the time, creating real-time pressure to provide a robust solution for a fully remote workforce.
Engaging Rapid Circle, SW replaced its PBX with Teams Phone in just a few months during lockdown. By enabling Teams Phone, SW was able to leave the PBX system behind and empower employees to truly work from anywhere.
Once COVID-19 restrictions eased, SW refocused on transforming its office spaces, now with even greater emphasis on hybrid work as many of its 300 employees continued to work remotely. Rapid Circle was re-engaged to develop the audiovisual and digital signage components of newly renovated meeting rooms in the company’s Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth offices.
As part of the strategy, Teams Rooms was configured identically across every location. No matter which office staff or clients entered, the meeting room experience worked exactly the same. Hybrid workers now benefit from seamless, one-touch join in meeting rooms, while remote participants can view both people and shared content simultaneously through multiple displays.
The Teams Rooms project revitalized meeting experiences across SW’s offices, supporting better collaboration between in-office and remote employees. Rapid Circle acted as a trusted advisor in modernizing and transforming SW’s broader Converged Communications portfolio.
For employees working remotely, the new meeting rooms enable equal participation and stronger collaboration, regardless of location. Overall, the solution supports SW’s broader goals of creating more agile ways of working, retaining great people, and continuing to deliver high-quality service to clients in a hybrid world.
